Finance Operations Manager

Our client has an opening for a highly motivated, detail-oriented Finance Operations Manager to join our accounting team in Kearny NJ

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Initiate and monitor physical inventory and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy, investigate variances, and resolve issues.
  • Perform accounting, analysis & reporting of manufacturing costs, including materials, labor, overhead, & freight.
  • Compare actual costs to estimates and work with other departments on determining causes & corrective actions.
  • Investigate inventory counting variances and resolve issues.
  • Reporting & analysis of inventory turnover, including highlight of slow moving, non-conforming & obsolete parts.
  • Fixed asset accounting, including physical counts & tracking asset utilization.
  • Provide back-up & support for other accounting functions as needed, including special projects as assigned.
  • Assist in developing continuous monitoring programs for key business areas using data analysis
  • Support internal and external audit requests during annual and interim audits
  • Ad-hoc financial analysis and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 2 to 5 years accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is a plus
  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus
  • Strong Excel Skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to build and manage collaborative relationships with a variety of people
