Job Description: Job Description: Class B role with the opportunity to work temp to perm depending on business needs. Driving either stake beds or flatbed vehicles – automatic. Drivers will be hauling pipe and other waterwork materials as needed. Delivery distances vary from locally to a few hours away depending on customer need. No overnight travel is required. 75% of the job will be driving and the other 25% will be helping out in the yard (percentages may vary based on business) Yard work entails helping load and unload customers and LTL deliveries to our site. Putting away and sorting material. Yard work is outdoors.
Must haves:
Physical capabilities to handle moving material around the yard manually (or job site) up to 50 pounds.
Fork-lift certified (1 year)
Able to operate smart phone applications
** Must be 21 years or older!**
All drivers must hold the required state-issued self-certification designation of non-excepted interstate and provide proof. All drivers must hold at a minimum a valid Class B Commercial Driver s License.
All drivers must have at least one (1) year of driving the class of vehicles they will be
driving while assigned to *** Enterprises, Inc. All drivers must have had a CDL for
minimum of one year.
In addition to the essential job functions described below, all associates will perform duties as requested by branch management. Assigned responsibilities and duties may vary based upon location size and operations.
Job Functions:
Deliver materials by the time scheduled by your supervisor.
Validate directions.
Unload or assist in unloading material as required.
Ensure that material is properly secured and within weight limits.
Ensure delivery of ticket with material and obtain customer signature.
Communicate with your supervisor throughout the day.
Pick up customer returns and validate that product matches request for credit.
Pick up local-pickup purchase orders.
Secure and return packing list(s).
Verify all material has been unloaded and placed at the delivery site.
Verify the customers signature on the delivery ticket.
Print name next to signature if necessary.
Review delivered orders with the supervisor for completion, accuracy, and format.
Return all delivery ticket copies to warehouse and verify that none are missing.
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) standards and regulations.
Fuel the truck as necessary.
Report any vehicle problems, moving violations, accidents, and defects to the supervisor Compliance with company uniform policy.
Assist in warehouse as necessary.
Represent the company in a professional manner at all times ensuring quality customer service.
Abide by all polices, rules, and regulations of the company including all applicable safety rules, regulations, and procedures.
Support corporate programs, goals, and initiatives of the company.
Work overtime as needed.
Comments for Suppliers: M-F. 7AM-4:30PM. Overtime is expected. Discuss further during interview. Not required to clock out for lunch.
