Summary of Need
Equiliem seeks an experienced and results-oriented professional to perform all tasks associated with the review, approval/denial, communication, and payment of leaves of absence. In this highly visible and customer-driven role, you will be responsible for ensuring all leaves are processed within the client’s policy guidelines and in accordance with all regulatory requirements. You will also work closely with a variety of HR colleagues and customers including Employee Relations, Benefits, Payroll, Occupational Health, and outside vendors in managing the FMLA, NY Paid Family Leave, Short-Term Disability, Long Term Disability, and Workers’ Compensation programs.
Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Administer the payroll for all employees on approved leaves of absence, ensuring payments consistent with policy and applicable laws.
- Serve as the main point of contact for employees and managers with inquiries regarding the client’s policies and individual Disability and Paid Family Leave claims.
- Provide support, address questions or issues regarding leaves of absence and other benefits to employees and managers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree is highly desirable.
- 1-2 years payroll experience (Kronos/Dimensions preferred).
- Experience working with leave management. Candidate should be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of regulations concerning FMLA, ADA, HIPPAA, FLSA, COBRA, etc.
- Strong computer skills including familiarity with HRIS (Lawson preferred) and Microsoft Office with proficiency in Excel is also required.
- Strong organizational skills required.
- Superior customer service skills including excellent verbal and written communication, will be essential.
- Highly motivated, independent thinker and self-starter.
- Enthusiastic team player.
Shift
Monday to Friday – 9am to 5pm (35hrs weekly)
Contract Length
13 weeks, with possible extensions. Potential Temp to Perm opportunity.
