Job Summary
The Bulk Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering beverage products to assigned customer accounts while providing professional customer service and maintaining product merchandising standards. This role includes loading and unloading products, collecting delivery documentation, maintaining delivery equipment, and ensuring timely deliveries within designated receiving windows. The ideal candidate holds a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a current DOT medical card and demonstrates strong communication, organizational, and safety skills.
Job Responsibilities
- Deliver beverage products to assigned customer accounts safely, accurately, and on schedule.
- Load and unload delivery trucks and assist with moving products and point-of-sale coolers as needed.
- Collect and maintain required delivery documentation from customer accounts.
- Maintain product merchandising standards and support appropriate product placement within assigned accounts.
- Inspect delivery equipment regularly and ensure it remains clean and in good working condition.
- Follow established customer payment terms and delivery procedures.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with customers to support customer satisfaction and product sales.
- Monitor competitor activities, including new product launches and price changes, and communicate relevant information to management.
- Represent the assigned beverage brand professionally and support brand visibility within customer accounts.
- Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, vehicle safety requirements, and company procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Current DOT medical card required.
- Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Basic mathematical skills for delivery verification and documentation.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read, understand, and complete delivery documentation in English.
- Ability to comply with all applicable DOT physical qualifications and safety requirements.
Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in beverage delivery, route delivery, or a similar commercial driving role.
- Knowledge of the beverage market and retail merchandising practices.
- Experience managing customer accounts and maintaining professional business relationships.
- Additional language skills beyond English.
