Logistics & Supply Chain Staffing with Dedicated Recruiters

Logistics infrastructure depends on more than facilities and fleets. It relies on the drivers, dispatchers, planners, forklift operators and managers who keep goods moving across North America. When critical roles remain unfilled, the effects can appear quickly at the dock door and carry over into the fill rates your customers track.

Equiliem supports the workforce behind North America’s critical logistics infrastructure through specialized logistics and supply chain staffing and workforce solutions. We partner with carriers, shippers, 3PLs and distributors to help strengthen service continuity by connecting them with professionals who meet the qualifications, safety standards and regulatory requirements of the work.

Our evaluation process goes beyond resumes. We assess each candidate’s operating experience, systems fluency and readiness for the environment they will enter. When a position requires a license, certification or regulatory qualification, we review the available documentation and coordinate the applicable requirements with the client.

Executive Search

Directors of distribution and VPs of supply chain are usually running someone else's network when you need them. Effective logistics and supply chain headhunters do more than identify experienced leaders. Our team maintains relationships across carriers, shippers, 3PLs and distributors, helping us discreetly engage supply chain and distribution leaders whose experience aligns with the networks, systems and operational challenges they would lead.

Why trust Equiliem with your logistics & supply chain roles

Our screening is tailored to the role and assignment: we screen for relevant experience and qualifications, review available documentation, and coordinate applicable client-specific credentialing, screening and onboarding requirements. Depending on the employment arrangement and the responsible motor carrier, driver qualification screening may include CDL class and endorsement verification, motor vehicle record review, medical qualification status, Clearinghouse requirements, and drug and alcohol testing. For warehouse roles, we review available powered industrial truck training and experience and coordinate the site- and equipment-specific training and evaluation the host employer completes. Depending on the role, screening may also include OSHA training records, hazmat endorsements where the freight requires them, employment eligibility verification, background screening and drug testing.

See what our logistics & supply chain clients say about us

We couldn’t have said it better ourselves.

We went into peak with fourteen open spots on the floor and I honestly was not sure we would ship on time. Equiliem had certified operators in the building within the week, and they were not warm bodies either, they were picking to rate by day three. We made every ship window through December, which I would not have bet on in October.
Carla J., General Manager at a distribution center
Drivers are where a staffing mistake gets expensive, so I was blunt with them about what I needed. Every driver they have sent has come with the driving record, the medical card and the Clearinghouse step coordinated with us, and in three years I have not had one file kicked back in an audit. That is the whole reason they are still our vendor.
Dennis W., Transportation Manager at a regional carrier
The demand planner they placed with us got our business faster than I expected, honestly. Within a couple of months the forecast arguments in our S&OP meetings got noticeably shorter, because people trusted the numbers again. Eighteen months on she is still here, and now she is training our new analyst.
Priya S., Director of Supply Chain at a consumer goods company
We use Equiliem across three buildings and a small fleet, and the thing I would point to is that it works the same way every time. One call, and whoever shows up has been vetted the way they said they would be. I stopped auditioning other agencies a while ago, it was not worth the meetings.

Equiliem is there when you need us

For more than 30 years, Equiliem has operated as a family-owned company helping organizations build and strengthen the workforce behind North America’s critical infrastructure. The movement of goods is an essential part of that infrastructure, because disruptions in transportation and distribution can quickly affect everything downstream. We handle short- and long-term hiring across every level of a supply chain operation, from a single forklift operator to a full leadership search, with applicable screening coordinated for the assignment.

We've completed searches for a variety of logistics & supply chain roles

Director of Distribution

A building materials company running five branches had cycled through two internal candidates without finding someone who could manage both the branches and the freight spend. We closed the search in 33 days with a director who had run a comparable multi-branch network. Within two quarters their freight cost per order had come down enough that the CFO mentioned it unprompted, which is about as good as feedback gets in that role.

CDL-A Drivers

A regional grocery hauler had eight tractors parked against the fence because they could not seat them. We delivered six qualified drivers over three weeks, with the driving record, medical qualification status and Clearinghouse requirements coordinated with the carrier before dispatch saw a name. The parked trucks went back into rotation, and the overtime the remaining drivers had been carrying finally eased off.

Network Planning Manager

A beverage company lost the manager who owned its network plan two weeks before the summer build had to lock. We placed an experienced planner in 18 days, fast enough to get the seasonal build committed on time. Their fill rate through the summer held where it needed to be, which is the outcome nobody notices and everybody depends on.

Global Trade Compliance Manager

After an acquisition, a consumer products company needed one owner for the trade compliance program across two distribution networks that had never been designed to work together. We ran the search quietly and closed it in 34 days. A year later the classification and licensing work was running to one standard across both networks, which was the plan the board had signed off on.

Frequently asked questions about logistics & supply chain recruiting

For Employers

Depends on the role. Certified forklift operators and warehouse staff, often within days. A CDL-A driver with a clean file, usually one to two weeks. A director or VP search runs three to five weeks, and we would rather tell you that on day one than pretend otherwise.
