Job summary

The TGCM Technician 6 is responsible for performing minor inspections and preventive maintenance on gas and chemical related equipment, conducting daily rounds, and ensuring safety and compliance with HS&E standards. The role includes hazardous waste management and supporting various safety and operational programs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform minor inspections and preventive maintenance on gas and chemical related equipment.
  • Conduct daily rounds including recording readings, safety inspections, monitoring gas and chemical systems, verifying toxic gas monitoring, and completing chemical tote/drum and gas cylinder change-outs.
  • Make initial evaluations of problem situations and obtain assistance as needed.
  • Complete TGCM Tech Level 6 local OJT minimum requirements within 12 months.
  • Participate in customer and internal programs including Safety, Training, Operations, and Preventive Maintenance.
  • Comply with all applicable HS&E Standards including PPE, Forklift Operations, Lock Out/Tag Out Program, and Confined Space Entry.
  • Perform minor analytical and sampling procedures.
  • Ensure safety of all persons and the general public surrounding facilities.
  • Manage hazardous waste transfer, storage, labeling, spill/emergency procedures, segregation, and preparation for shipment.
  • Operate forklift and support waste minimization programs.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2 years of related experience.
  • Good communication skills with ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Experience working successfully in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of reporting procedures including product acceptance criteria, tank fill, inventory, material usage, monitoring, safety parameters, and personnel requirements.
  • Self-motivated to learn with electro-mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to understand and abide by stringent safety rules.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in semiconductor or chemical/specialty gas field, military technical/electronic rating, nuclear field, or equivalent industry.
