Warehouse Associate
Location: Arlington Heights, IL
Schedule/Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM 
Pay: $19.50 per hour

Job Summary

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for accurately processing, organizing, retrieving, and preparing boxes and files for destruction in a secure warehouse environment. The role requires safe operation of powered equipment, attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to meet productivity and accuracy expectations. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, comfortable working independently, and able to maintain strict confidentiality.

Job Responsibilities

  • Barcode and process incoming boxes and files.
  • Pull and review access lists.
  • Retrieve and refile boxes and files accurately.
  • Barcode and process boxes scheduled for destruction.
  • Support bay consolidations and related warehouse activities.
  • Operate a picker forklift and other powered equipment as authorized.
  • Complete required equipment safety checks before operation, including batteries, brakes, lift controls, and fire extinguishers.
  • Safely travel to assigned work areas and retrieve, load, and move boxes.
  • Return equipment to the designated charging station at the end of each workday and prepare it for overnight charging.
  • Follow established safety, security, and operational procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Previous warehouse, records management, material handling, or equipment operation experience preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate or learn to operate a picker forklift and other powered equipment.
  • Ability to use handheld computers and related warehouse technology.
  • Ability to safely operate or learn to operate vehicles and equipment as required.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet productivity, accuracy, and timeliness requirements.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and suggest process improvements.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and motor skills.
  • Ability to work at heights of approximately 12-14 feet.
  • Ability to continuously lift and move boxes weighing approximately 40-50 pounds.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and assignments as needed.
  • Willingness to work overtime.
  • Dependable, reliable, safety-conscious, and able to handle equipment responsibly.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow security procedures.
