1. Overview
This notice applies only to residents of New York City (“NYC”) who are applying for jobs located at offices in NYC, at least part of the time, or for fully remote jobs where the location associated with the job is an office in NYC.
Industrial Staffing Services, Inc. dba Equiliem, Industrial Staffing Services LLC dba Equiliem Energy, Rotator Staffing Services Inc. dba Equiliem Government, Medical Staffing Services Inc. dba Equiliem Healthcare, and Block Staffing Services LLC dba Equiliem Consultants (collectively, the “Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) may use automated employment decision tools (“AEDT”) in connection with making decisions regarding your hiring or compensation.
AEDT means any computational process, derived from machine learning, statistical modeling, data analytics, or artificial intelligence, that issues simplified output, including a score, classification, or recommendation, that is used to substantially assist or replace discretionary decision making for making employment decisions that impact natural persons.
2. Purpose for Use; Types and Sources of Data Processed; Retention
We may use AEDT to conduct initial reviews of job applicants to assess how their skills match the positions for which they applied.
In making this assessment, the AEDT processes professional, employment, and education information, including work history, qualifications, and skills, that is collected from the applicant as part of their application or from the applicant’s interaction with the AEDT.
The AEDT may also process assessment results, such as job-related tests or evaluations, and, where applicable, limited internet or network activity collected during the application process.
We retain the data processed by the AEDT for as long as is reasonably necessary for our use of the tool.
3. Requesting an Alternative Selection Process or Accommodation
If you would like to request an alternative selection process, or a reasonable accommodation, please email us at [email protected] and state that you are requesting an alternative selection process or accommodation related to our use of AEDT.
Our accommodation request process is: Upon receipt of your request, we will confirm receipt and review your request.Where applicable, we will provide an alternative selection process that does not rely on automated employment decision tools, which may include manual review by recruiting personnel.
4. Non-Discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your right to request an alternative selection process or accommodation.

We may update this notice periodically. Any changes will be posted with a revised last updated date.
