Therapy Staffing with Dedicated Recruiters

An unfilled therapy role can lead to missed sessions, stalled discharges, longer lengths of stay and interruptions in patients’ treatment progress. Many providers engage a specialized workforce partner after vacancies begin affecting caseload coverage, productivity targets or discharge planning.

Equiliem screens for state licensure, setting experience and treatment specialization to help organizations identify therapists prepared to assume active caseloads with minimal disruption.

Many organizations turn to us after internal recruiting efforts have not reached licensed therapists, who are in-demand and often scarce in a competitive market. Providers rely on therapy continuity to maintain patient progress, throughput and regulatory compliance. Equiliem supports rehabilitation leaders with scalable staffing, recruiting, credentialing and workforce solutions that help maintain stability in changing workforce conditions.

We offer a range of therapy services

Contract Staffing

Whether responding to a caseload increase, an unexpected departure or a coverage gap between direct placement hires, Equiliem provides licensed therapists who help patients continue making progress. Our therapy staffing is structured to maintain patient coverage while a more permanent search runs.

Find Talent Now

Direct Hire Recruiting

For long-term hiring needs, we help organizations identify physical, occupational and speech therapists whose licensure, setting experience and treatment approach align with your patients and care model. A specialized therapy recruiter evaluates candidates based on the caseload they would be expected to manage. We are not the therapy headhunters of decades past. We are sophisticated relationship builders who maintain relationships across rehabilitation disciplines, allowing us to reach therapists who are not actively searching.

Build Your Team

Workforce Management

As therapy programs scale, workforce complexity can grow alongside them. Equiliem helps organizations manage contingent labor through Employer of Record and payrolling solutions, independent contractor (IC) compliance, and other workforce management solutions designed to create greater consistency, visibility, and control.

Whether supporting specialized project talent, former employees returning as consultants, or workers sourced directly by your team, we help manage the employment, onboarding, compliance, and administrative responsibilities behind the workforce. The result is a more structured approach that helps therapy organizations access the talent they need while reducing administrative burden and supporting program continuity.

Why trust Equiliem with your therapy roles

The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval

The Joint Commission Health Care Staffing Services Certification

Therapy placements depend on complete licensure documentation that can withstand regulatory or accreditation review. Equiliem has earned The Joint Commission’s Health Care Staffing Services (HCSS) Certification, reflecting an independent evaluation of our processes and our commitment to quality, safety and continuous performance improvement in temporary clinical staffing. Our screening is tailored to the role and assignment: we screen for relevant setting experience and objective credentials, review available documentation, and coordinate applicable client-specific requirements. Depending on the role, that may include state licensure for physical, occupational and speech therapy, certifications, background screening and applicable exclusion screening. Equiliem completes competency validation as part of our screening process, while unit-specific competency validation remains the responsibility of the client. We work within your CMS, Joint Commission, and payer compliance requirements.

See what our therapy clients say about us

We couldn’t have said it better ourselves.

We were falling behind on treatment minutes after a therapist left, and that's a problem that compounds on you if you let it sit. The physical therapist that Equiliem placed started within two weeks and we were hitting our targets again soon after, which kept our patients from losing the momentum they'd built. That momentum is the whole point in rehab, so it mattered a lot.
Grace H., Rehab Manager at a skilled nursing facility
For our surveys, licensure and documentation just have to be right, there's no talking your way around a gap. The therapist that Equiliem placed came in with both already documented, so our review went smoothly and quietly, which is honestly all you can ask a survey to be.
Derek S., Compliance Lead at a rehab provider
Continuity matters enormously in therapy, and so does whether the person actually fits, because the patients feel both. The occupational therapist that Equiliem placed connected with our patients and the team quickly and then stayed, so our caseload held steady instead of getting handed around. You can't really put a number on that, but it's what keeps a practice healthy.
Monica R., Clinic Director at an outpatient practice
We've filled several therapy roles through Equiliem and every therapist was licensed, prepared, and dependable, full stop. That's what keeps our patients on track and keeps me from having to babysit the staffing, and after a few times it just became the obvious place to go.

We've completed searches for a variety of therapy roles

Physical Therapist

A skilled nursing facility had fallen behind on its treatment minutes after a therapist resigned, which starts to put both patients and compliance at risk fairly quickly. We placed a licensed physical therapist within two weeks, and once they picked up the caseload the facility was meeting its therapy targets again before the shortfall turned into a survey problem.

Occupational Therapist

An outpatient clinic was running a scheduling backlog that kept patients waiting longer than the clinic was comfortable with. We supplied a licensed occupational therapist in twelve days who absorbed a full caseload without a lapse, so the clinic could work the backlog down rather than watch it grow.

Speech-Language Pathologist

A rehab hospital needed speech-language pathology coverage for a census that was climbing faster than their team could keep up with. We recruited a direct placement hire over about three weeks, and with them on board the evaluations kept pace with admissions instead of piling up behind them.

Rehabilitation Director

A multi-site provider needed permanent therapy leadership to steady both productivity and documentation across their sites. We closed the search in 33 days with a director who lifted productivity without cutting corners on documentation, which is the balance these roles usually struggle to hold.
