Pay: $21.27 – $33.99 per hour

Job Summary
The CDL Driver is responsible for safely operating Class B commercial vehicles, including flatbed and dual-axle trucks, to deliver and pick up materials according to scheduled routes and customer requirements. This position requires significant daily manual labor, including loading, unloading, securing, and moving materials, as well as assisting with warehouse activities. The driver will perform required vehicle inspections, comply with DOT regulations, operate a forklift after certification, and maintain professional communication with supervisors and customers.

Job Responsibilities

• Safely operate flatbed, pickup, and other assigned commercial vehicles.
• Deliver materials according to scheduled delivery times and assigned routes.
• Validate directions and delivery locations before and during assignments.
• Load, unload, secure, and move materials as required.
• Perform significant manual labor throughout the workday, including handling and positioning materials.
• Assist with pulling and preparing materials for delivery.
• Operate a forklift after completing required certification.
• Verify that materials are properly secured and within applicable weight limits.
• Obtain customer signatures and ensure delivery documentation is complete and accurate.
• Pick up customer returns and verify materials against applicable return documentation.
• Pick up local customer orders and secure required packing lists.
• Verify that all materials have been delivered and placed at the designated location.
• Complete and return delivery tickets and other required documentation.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Comply with all applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements and safety regulations.
• Fuel assigned vehicles and report vehicle defects, accidents, moving violations, or other issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Assist with warehouse activities as needed.
• Communicate with supervisors throughout the workday regarding deliveries, pickups, delays, or other issues.
• Provide professional customer service during deliveries and pickups.
• Follow all applicable safety procedures, workplace policies, and operating requirements.
• Work overtime as needed.

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience driving the class of commercial vehicle assigned to the position.
• Minimum 1 year of experience holding a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
• Valid state-issued non-excepted interstate self-certification designation required, with proof provided.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to perform significant manual labor, including loading, unloading, lifting, securing, and moving materials.
• Ability to safely operate and maneuver flatbed and dual-axle vehicles.
• Ability to comply with DOT regulations and required vehicle inspection procedures.
• Ability to safely secure materials and verify applicable weight limits.
• Ability to operate a forklift after completing required certification.
• Ability to read and complete delivery documentation accurately.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work overtime when required.
• Must meet applicable requirements for operating commercial vehicles transporting materials subject to DOT regulations.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Work Experience

• Minimum 1 year of CDL driving experience required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience operating the applicable class of commercial vehicle required.
• Delivery, warehouse, material handling, or construction-related experience preferred.

Additional Job Details (Commute, Attendance, etc.)

• Full-time, Monday-Friday schedule.
• 6:00 AM-2:30 PM schedule.
• Significant manual labor is required daily and is an essential part of the position.
• Forklift certification will be provided as required.
• Overtime may be required based on business needs.
• Position requires regular interaction with customers and warehouse personnel.
